This study was conducted in 6 steps: 1st step of selecting experts, 2nd step of making preliminary preparation, 3rd step of interviewing the focus group, 4th step of transcribing data, 5th step of analyzing data, and 6th step of deriving the result.

Results : As a result of an integrated analysis of the jobs of the occupational therapists from the dementia care centers, a total of 6 topics, 34 categories, 120 subcategories and 222 concepts were derived. As a result of analyzing the content of each topic regarding the jobs, it was found that the duty of ¡°consultation¡± is carried out on a regular basis, and the proportion of providing consultation (management consultation) in the mid and the last period is higher than that of initial consultation. In the case of the duty of ¡°evaluation¡±, the occupational therapists were conducting the necessary evaluation for each client before and after program and case management and all experts who participated in the interview thought that the occupational therapists should be included as an evaluation expert in the early examination team. In the case of the duty of ¡°plan of intervention¡±, the priority was given to the parts related to activities and participation rather than the aspect of occupational elements and a plan of intervention was established for the parts needed by the subjects. The occupational therapists were carrying out tasks such as training for daily life activities, changing the home environment, and linking to the required services concerned in addition to conducting programs in relation to the duty of ¡°intervention¡±. In relation to the duty of ¡°education & management¡±, they carried out programs for patients, guardians, workers, and volunteers, and strenthened their professionalism through the duty of ¡°self-development¡± such as participation in research activities and going to university and graduate school for study.

Conclusion : For the efficient operation of the dementia care centers, institutional improvement and the establishment and reinforcement of the roles of experts are essential. We hope that the result of this study will clarify the jobs of the occupational therapists at dementia care centers, helping to understand their jobs and strengthen the expertise and professionalism.
